Passive Voice - Chapter 4

When he woke up in the morning Chu Zhi Han had already bought breakfast and was sitting quietly next to him reading the newspaper. When she saw Lu Yao she moved the doughnuts and soy milk in front of him.
“You still have to go to work right. Eat well and I’ll send you there.” Chu Zhi Han sounded as if the two had naturally gotten along so well for a long time. There was no sense of detachment at all from not seeing each other for ten years.
Rather, it was Lu Yao who suddenly had the illusion of being a guest in someone else’s home. Busy waving her hand, “No need, there is a bus downstairs that can take you directly to the school entrance. It would be too troublesome for you to drive there specifically.”
“It won’t be, I also want to see your school.” Chu Zhi Han put down the cup in her hand, “I haven’t even been inside a middle school for a long time. It’s very nostalgic.”
Lu Yao had to give up being polite and took Chu Zhi Han’s ride.
As soon as Chu Zhi Han followed Lu Yao into the office, she attracted the gazes of a bunch of girl scouts. Chu Zhi Han seems to be very used to this kind of attention. Lu Yao, however, was a bit uncomfortable.
“My old classmate Chu Zhi Han. He came to play with us, so he came with me to take a look.” Lu Yao introduced.
Chu Zhi Han smiled and nodded behind Lu Yao.
“Aren’t you the up-and-coming designer who just took the design proposal for the city hall?” Zhou Xiaoduo was silent for a long time before she suddenly realized and roared out, “The one who’s been on TV for the past two days!”
Chu Zhi Han was still smiling slightly and nodded.
Lu Yao was a bit stunned, and when he thought about it carefully, he hadn’t asked Chu Zhi Han what kind of profession he was actually practicing. He only knew that the salary was quite generous and the time was free. Anyway, it’s not like he needs to work like hell to prepare for classes and correct homework.
But I didn’t expect him to be so successful at such a young age. I was always happy for my friend. But to say that there was no dark mood at all would be too pretentious.
However, it seems that Chu Zhi Han’s purpose of coming here this time is not “vacation, come to have fun, and pick you up on the way back”.
Lu Yao was a bit upset. Although it may not be a life and death friendship, but at least they have been together for many years. Chu Zhi Han did not have to hide this from him.
Zhou Xiaoduo even elbowed Lu Yao’s shoulder, “Yo, Mr. Lu, how come you have such a powerful old classmate and didn’t tell us earlier?”
“Hehe, this is not an introduction to you guys.” Lu Yao straightened out her lesson plan, “Chu Zhi Han, I still have classes in the first two periods in the morning, why don’t you go first if you still have something to do?”
“I don’t even have anything in the morning ah, let’s wait for you to have lunch together.” Chu Zhi Han sat down, “I’ll just read here.” Saying this, he naturally took the English magazine on Lu Yao’s desk.
Lu Yao pulled the corners of her mouth stiffly. Saying, “I’ll see you later then,” she walked out of the office.
The whole morning was not in a good mood. In between classes, he sat in the back row of the classroom with a smelly face. It was as if he was possessed by some kind of ghost. The lenses of his eyeglasses were reflecting a greenish light. No student within ten meters dared to approach.
When he returned to the office after class. Chu Zhi Han was still sitting there alone. Simply sitting there flipping through magazines, but exuded a powerful “don’t come near me” terrifying aura. The young female teacher on the other side wanted to go up and talk to her, but she really didn’t dare to open the door of the big freezer.
Chu Zhi Han raised her eyes to see Lu Yao, closed her book and stood up, “Are you ready? Let’s go eat?”
