Adoption Chapter 5: Sleeping Together

“I’ll be working in the den, so if you need anything you can just come over to me or pull the bell by the bed and the on-duty user will come right over. My room is right across the street and I won’t lock the door at night, so sleep in peace, I’ll be right near you.”
Caressing Luo Yi’s face, Luo Rui Xi tenderly instructed, “Good night.”
Printing a good night kiss, Luo Ruixi helped Luo Yi cover the quilt, adjusted the temperature of the air conditioner, and gently walked out of the room, Luo Yi watched him leave and watched the door of the room being closed, her eyes becoming hollow.
“Hey, Mu Hao, it’s me.”
Luo Rui Xi sat above the turn looking out the window.
“President Luo, calling me at this hour I wonder what my orders are?”
Qin Muhao, Luo Rui Xi’s detrimental friend that he made in college, is now his special assistant, a rare good helper apart from his personality.
“Make an opening in my schedule for tomorrow, I’m going to make a trip to the Deren Orphanage.”
“Roger that, definitely arranged it for you, may I ask if official business is considered finished?”
The implication, of course, was that he had private business to pry into, the gossipy man!
“Yes, brother.”
“Haha, Rui Xi pro, are you sending that kid back again? That’s right isn’t it? You’d never raise a kid around to be a young baby daddy again, would you?”
“I’m sorry, you guessed wrong, I’ve already adopted that kid and I love him so much that he’s my family from today, I’ll introduce him to you when I have time.”
“I advise you not to bet with Folding Fabric and the others in the future, you lose every time, how meaningless.”
“I still have work, hang up first, bye.”
Immediately hanging up the phone, Qin Muhao’s frantic screams were just isolated on the other end of the phone line. Luo Rui Xi turned to her desk and began to deal with the work that had accumulated during the day today, there was no way she could sleep until the early hours of the morning tonight.
The lights in the study stayed on until late, and by the time Luo Rui Xi broke away from his work, it was already 2:15 am.
He took down the eyes on the bridge of his nose, rubbed his brow, and stretched. Ever since he took over his father’s company he hadn’t worked overtime this late, and even overtime was rare. His and Qin Muhao’s working styles were very similar, both emphasized on efficiency, and would almost never drag their work into the night.
“There’s an early meeting tomorrow, time to go to bed.”
Turning off the computer Luo Ruixi walks towards her room, halfway there as if she remembers something, she changes direction again. Gently opening the door to Luo Yi’s room, Luo Ruixi leaned against the door frame and didn’t go in, under the dim bedside lamp, Luo Yi slept peacefully with her eyes closed, her calm sleeping face and when she woke up there wasn’t much difference.
“Good night.”
And the door, Luo Ruixi completely relaxed, as soon as he returned to the room, he flung himself on the bed, not even turning on the light, so he just drifted off to sleep.
There is something wriggling around the feet …… warm with temperature …… always moving ……
Luo Ruixi half dreaming, half awake feeling, just entered the state of sleep how to wake up, while the things around the feet are still arrogantly moving.
Rats?
How can it be, Luo family villa can’t have rats this kind of creature.
Pet cat? Pet dog?
Luo Ruixi was allergic to animal hair, there were no cats or dogs in the Luo family villa.

“Don’t want to sleep alone?”
Rubbing Luo Yi’s soft hair Luo Ruixi asked very softly, after the shock exhaustion surged up again, his eyelids fought a little.
Luo Yi grabbed the front of Luo Rui Xi’s pajamas and nodded. Before Luo Ruixi went to see him when he was pretending to be asleep, and then after the person left, he opened his eyes again, staring at the ceiling with an empty hole, how could he not fall asleep, and finally had to quietly sneak into Luo Ruixi’s room.
Originally really just wanted to look around and sneak in, I didn’t expect to still wake up the person.
“Want to stay in my room to sleep?”
The head in his arms rubbed against his chest, having nodded his head.
“Well, then sleep, small children who sleep so late will not grow tall.”
Closing his eyes Luo Rui Xi said with a smile, hugging Luo Yi’s tiny body, nestling his head in the nape of his neck, this place is so comfortable.
“Luo Rui Xi, sorry for waking you up.”
“It’s okay oh, it doesn’t matter how if it’s Luo Yi.”
Warm breath fell on the skin, Luo Yi squinted her eyes, a little itchy, but did not dare to struggle. “Quickly go to sleep, I’m also sleepy, I still have to work tomorrow ……”
Murmuring Luo Rui Xi fell asleep, the body in his arms gave him too much peace of mind and unconsciously fell asleep.
The man holding him suddenly stopped moving, Luo Yi also closed his eyes, sniffed at Luo Rui Xi’s body, grabbed the other party’s clothes and went into dreamland.
That was the first time they had shared a bed, the first time they had found a long-lost stability in each other.
After the accidental death of his parents Luo Ruixi hadn’t slept so peacefully, Luo Yi became a more effective remedy than sleeping pills.
Since being sent to the orphanage Luo Yi has not slept so soundly, Luo Ruixi has become the person in his life who can give him the most peace of mind.
